The National Weather Service has issued a severe weather warning for areas of New York east of Lake Ontario. The snowfall will create poor visibility and snow-covered roads. Oswego, Lewis, and Southern Jefferson Counties will most likely be affected with snowfall rates of about 2 inches per hour.

NOAA recommends that if one is planning on traveling throughout these counties, please allow extra time to reach your destination.
