Two New York City residents were killed in fires within a span of 24 hours.
The first victim died in an apartment fire in East Harlem earlier in the day. The victim’s identity has not been released. It is said there were no fire alarms in the household.
The second victim was found this afternoon in a house fire on Staten Island. Newsday.com reports this victim’s identity has not yet been released.
It has also been reported that five people were injured this morning in a Bronx apartment fire during the morning hours. All of the incidences reported are still under investigation.
