There are many things one can do to prepare for a flood. The first important thing is to have a plan. This plan should include an out of area or out of state contact that can relay information to others concerned about you and your family. Keep important phone numbers handy that include the name and number for insurance companies, work contacts, schools, neighbors, etc. Make an evacuation plan and meet-up spot where family members can meet up should they get separated.
