Coney Island Favorite Pizzeria to be Restored After Fire


Totonno’s, a favorite pizzeria amongst tourists and locals on Coney Island, suffered major losses on Saturday morning in a fire that started in the coal-burning pizza oven. It took firefighters 2 hours to put the fire out in the restaurant that has been open since 1924.

Officials are not sure what caused the fire, but fans of the restaurant are mourning the temporary loss of this popular restaurant that has provided jobs and comfort food for many in the community. It is unsure when the restaurant will be operational again.
